CRITICAL FITTING INFORMATION
You will find that Canada West boots will fit large relative to most offshore manufactured footwear. They have maintained the North American sizing standards that were in place when we started manufacturing in 1978. As an example, if you wear a size 10.0 in men’s athletic footwear, you would likely drop down anywhere from, one full size to as much as a size and a half. In women’s boots, the fit is typically size for size or perhaps a half size down in our footwear, relative to offshore manufactured footwear.

Please note that the factory sizing chart we have posted on most product pages is not an absolute recommendation as best fit is achieved in 3 dimensions. Size charts and even the sliding scale Brannock device found in some stores are only designed to establish a starting point for fit. There is no substitute for an in person fitting.

Having said that, both the factory and Reddhart have had good success with this chart over the years we have been using it.

Place your heel comfortably against a flat surface and measure the distance to the tip of your toes. Do not use a wall with a baseboard as this will skew the measurement. Measure both feet and use the largest measurement, as one foot is typically larger. Take the measurement while wearing the socks you anticipate wearing with the boots.

If however, you have been fitted in a store, or have previously worn CW boots and therefore know your size, then please add this information in the NOTES box on the Order Form. If you want to also add your foot measurement, we can look at that and help guide you to what might be an optimal fit.
