Reddhart and the Manufacturers provide a 6 month manufacturing defects warranty on all safety footwear from the original date of purchase. In the event of obvious manufacturing defects occurring beyond the 6 month period, THE MANUFACTURERS and REDDHART may consider partial warranty coverage. We will take into account the degree of wear and tear on the boots, and how well the boots have been maintained.

Please note: This policy does not apply to products that have been damaged by misuse, accident, modification, or unauthorized repair.

All other such Brands that we carry, come with a 6 month limited Manufacturers defects warranty. Defects do not include excessive or abusive wear.

Casual footwear Brands including BIRKENSTOCK,  and LAURENTIAN CHIEF,  come with a 60 day limited Manufacturers warranty. Defects do not include excessive or abusive wear

CARHARTT and TOUGH DUCK workwear, come with a 30 day limited Manufacturers warranty. Defects do not include excessive or abusive wear

We will gladly accept for a refund  any NEW and UNWORN items, within 30 days of the purchase date. Unless approved by email in advance, you must return the item to the location where you originally purchased it,  and you MUST have the ORIGINAL RECEIPT. All returns must have the original packaging and items must still have all the original tags.  Refunds will be made in the same manner as the original purchase.

WORN or WASHED ITEMS will NOT be accepted for a refund or exchange.

Items sold at Clearance Pricing or from our website Clearance Catalog that are being sold at deep discount are to be considered as “Final Sale” items, except in the case of manufacturing defects apparent at the immediate time of purchase, where we will usually be able to apply the standard Manufacturers Warranty. The Reddhart Extended After Sales Warranty ( described below) does not apply to Clearance Sale items. Any items returned without prior written authorization, will be subject to a 50% RESTOCKING CHARGE

The same warranties and refund/exchange terms described above, apply to all on-line sale transactions. If an item is defective, we will pay for the return shipping costs ( regular shipping ) . If the return is for an EXCHANGE, we ask that you pay the return shipping, but we will gladly pay the second set of shipping costs to send you your replacement pair or size.

Returns of special order, non-stock items will be charged a 20% re-stocking fee.

Customer Returns or Order Cancellations for refunds, will be subject to a 20% RESTOCKING CHARGE. This is to cover the cost of shipping and handling the item sent to you, plus fees from the credit card merchants and PayPal that are not returned to  Reddhart when an order is refunded. If an order is cancelled due to lack of inventory on the part of Reddhart, then the fee will not apply.

Order cancellations for a refund where the merchandise has not been shipped will be charged a 4% cancellation fee to cover the non-refundable card processing fees imposed by the Card Merchants.

The Reddhart stores offer the following additional services to original purchasers, during the period of wear of the footwear, on the FOLLOWING BRANDS     KEEN, ROYER, BLUNDSTONE, and CANADA WEST

. free replacement laces

. free replacement of damaged hooks or eyelets

. free minor stitching and re-bonding, where necessary  ( does not include any required patching )

. periodic re-oiling and conditioning of your boots ( does not include cleaning—please bring the boots to the store in clean, dry condition, free of dirt, chemical residue etc)

For stitching and re-bonding, we use external services of local shoemakers of our choice. Please be prepared to leave your boots with us.

For these additional services, you do not need to return to the original Reddhart store of purchase. You do not need to have your original purchase receipt—–we just need to be able to find you in our computer records.

The “Reddhart Extended Warranty” only applies to items purchased at regular prices. It does not apply to Discontinued or Clearance sale items.

Many of the boots we sell can be repaired, especially those crafted using the Goodyear Welting technique. When a sole wears out, yet the leather uppers remain in good condition, it is sometimes worth the expense of having the soles replaced. Whether this is a cost effective option, and whether the extra life of the boot is worthwhile compared to purchasing new boots, can best be determined by an experienced shoemaker.

Minor stitching, patching and re-bonding , is often more economically done closer to where you live, and your local Reddhart store can usually provide information on suitable shoemakers in their area.

It is always best to take your items back to the store so that they can be looked at by our staff. If this is not convenient, or you would like an opinion on something, please email to graeme@reddhart.ca

Please attach images/pictures of any problems.
